What is the best season for fishing in Arkansas?
One of the best things about fishing in Arkansas is that it can be enjoyed all year. During the spring season the stripers tend to hit top-water baits and the rainbow trout are freshly stocked and are willing to bite on almost anything. Hamilton and Ouachita Lakes have plenty of bass during the spring season. Summer is a great time to catch bream and catfish. If you are looking for a good time, summer is a great time for bass fishing near the locks and dams. Fall offers great scenery and is a good time to catch striped bass as they swim near the surface. The shallow waters are great for fishing in the fall when they move to shallow water looking for food. Winter brings good trout fishing. Winter crappie fishing is always fun as well as fishing for smallmouth bass. Each season brings new opportunities and experiences, but there are plenty of fish to be caught all year round on our guided fishing trips in Central Arkansas.
